Polara Golf Foundation holds its 1st Official Polara Open at Hollydot GC in Colorado City

Self-Correcting Golf Balls make charity golf events more fun

(Carlsbad, CA) - Polara Golf (www.polaragolf.com) manufacturer of the World's First Self-Correcting golf ball hosted its 1st Official Polara Open at the Hollydot Golf Course in Colorado City, Colo., July 31 in conjunction with the Fore A Breast Foundation charity golf outing.

Through its Polara Foundation, Polara Golf selects charity golf outings throughout the country to participate with and donates its self-correcting Ultimate Straight golf balls to enhance the playing experience for the participants. Every player in the Polara Open is required to play a Polara Ultimate Straight golf ball In order to help golfers of all skill levels drive more fairways, speed up play and make the day more enjoyable.

Fore A Breast's primary purpose is to raise money to assist women and men in Pueblo County who have breast cancer and are in need of financial assistance for medication, treatment or other life expenses during their treatment. Fore A Breast is a non profit organization that was founded by Dianna L. Moore in 2002 following her own battle with breast cancer. Since its inception, the Fore A Breast foundation has assisted more than 80 individuals to date.

"The purpose of the Fore a Breast Foundation charity golf outing is to assist men and women in the Colorado City area who are struggling with this life threatening disease, not to shed light on how bad you hook or slice the golf ball," said Gary DeBay, CEO of Polara Golf. "All we're trying to do through the Polara Foundation is remove some of the frustration from the game so everyone can have fun and focus on the real reason they are there....to raise money for a great cause."

While other golf ball manufacturers "claim" to improve accuracy or reduce your hook or slice, the unique dimple design of the Polara Ultimate Straight golf ball actually does it!

At the heart of the Self-Correcting Technology is the Polara golf ball's asymmetrical dimple pattern. Every golf ball has three types of dimples: deep, shallow and small; all designed with a specific purpose. The key to the ball's straight performance is how the three different types of dimples are arranged on the ball's surface. When the Polara golf ball is placed on the tee with the side stamp arrow pointing towards the target the Self-Correcting Technology reduces hooks and slices up to 75%...guaranteed.

"It's a known fact that most golfers have trouble hitting the ball straight...85% of them end up slicing it," said Dr. David Felker, PhD and Head of Technology for Polara Golf. "If you want to prevent a slice, you have to first understand the physics behind why the ball slices in the first place. The Self-Correcting TechnologyTM of the Ultimate Straight golf ball works because it's based on science, not marketing. This is truly "game-changing" technology and no other golf ball has it."

The Polara Ultimate Straight golf ball is available at select golf retailers nationwide and can be purchased online at www.polaragolf.com.
