Golfersskin sunscreen supports national sun protection initiative

(DEL MAR, Calif.) - The Sun SafeTee Program, the leader in sun protection education for golfers, announced Golfersskin sunscreen has been added to its list of supporting sponsors. Golfersskin sunscreen products will be distributed at select Sun SafeTee educational outreach efforts focusing on skin protection awareness for golfers.

"Sun SafeTee is extremely pleased that Golfersskin will help champion our efforts to educate golfers on the importance of skin cancer prevention," said Mark Wishner, President of Sun SafeTee. "We look forward to working with Golfersskin who has designed products specifically for golfers, even a hands-free face stick sunscreen that players will appreciate when following our motto, 'Don't burn…Reapply at the turn!'"

According to Wishner, in 2011 alone more that 2 million skin cancers will be diagnosed in the U.S. and 12,000 individuals will die from melanoma, a deadly form of skin cancer. Experts believe, since golfers spend a significant amount of time in the sun they run a higher risk of developing skin cancer than the general population.

"Golfersskin is delighted to partner up with the Sun Safe team" shared Ben Steward, president of Quiver Distribution, the U.S distributor of Golfersskin. "Education is the biggest hurdle in skin cancer prevention and Sun SafeTee is doing an exceptional job in getting the message out. From day-one the team at Golfersskin knew we wanted to 'give back' and Sun SafeTee has proven to be exactly the initiative we want to get behind."
