KemperSports Announces Personnel Moves

KemperSports Promotes Ollie Becker to Regional Operations Executive, Hires Lance Iwanaka as General Manager of The Bridges Golf Club

(NORTHBROOK, Ill.) – KemperSports, a leading golf course management company, announced the promotion of Ollie Becker to Regional Operations Executive, and named Lance Iwanaka as General Manager of The Bridges Golf Club in San Ramon, Calif. Becker previously served as General Manager of The Bridges and under his leadership, the property received the 2011 KemperSports Facility of the Year award earlier this year. Following Becker’s promotion, KemperSports hired Lance Iwanaka to fill the open General Manager position at The Bridges.

A 14-year veteran in the golf industry, Becker joined KemperSports in 2006 as the General Manager of Hiddenbrooke Golf Club in Vallejo, Calif. During his three-year tenure at Hiddenbrooke, Becker received the James R. Seeley General Manager of the Year award for KemperSports in 2008. Following his tenure at Hiddenbrooke, Becker was promoted to the General Manager of The Bridges Golf Club, where he proved to be successful in increasing revenue and customer satisfaction at the facility each year. Most recently, Becker had been serving as a regional manager overseeing operations for Hiddenbrooke Golf Club, The Bridges Golf Club and Eagle Ridge Golf Club in Gilroy, Calif. In this new role, Becker will continue to oversee operations for his current portfolio of properties, and will also assume operational responsibility for all of KemperSports’ properties in southern California.

“Ollie has demonstrated strong leadership skills and developed innovative revenue growth opportunities in each of his roles,” said Steve Skinner, chief executive officer for KemperSports. “We are proud to recognize Ollie’s work through his recent promotion, and look forward to continuing to grow our business and further serve our clients in California.”

Following this promotion, KemperSports hired Lance Iwanaka to fill Becker’s position as General Manager of The Bridges Golf Club. Iwanaka brings nearly 10 years of experience to KemperSports in the golf and food and beverage industry. Prior to joining KemperSports, Iwanaka served as the General Manager at Boundary Oak Golf Course in Walnut Creek, Calif. since 2009. During his tenure at Boundary Oak, Iwanaka was recognized with the General Manager of the Year award for significant annual revenue growth in both golf and food and beverage operations.

“We are pleased to welcome Lance to the KemperSports family,” said Jim Stegall, executive vice president for KemperSports. “Lance will provide valuable insight and experience in the northern California market, and we are confident he will be a great asset for The Bridges Golf Club.”
