The Club at Ravenna Announces Stan Spraul as General Manager

(LITTLETON, Colo.) – The Club at Ravenna (www.ravennagolf.com), the luxury private community situated southwest of Denver, welcomes new General Manager Stan Spraul to its elite hospitality team.

Spraul joins Ravenna with nearly 25 years of management experience in the private golf club industry, most recently as General Manager at Southern Highlands Golf Club in Las Vegas.

“We are excited that Stan is leading the Ravenna team,” says Glenn Jacks, managing partner of the property. “His club-management expertise will enhance the enjoyment and fulfillment of our members and their guests.”

A Certified Club Manager (CCM), Spraul was the founding president of the Nevada Golf Course Owner’s Association as well as the founding director of the Nevada Golf Industry Alliance.

In his new role, Spraul directs the golf, food and beverage, grounds and clubhouse operations of the club, with a focus on delivering exceptional member experiences. He began his term officially this week.

At the epicenter of the Ravenna enclave stands the Jay Morrish-designed course, recently named among the top-50 “Best Residential Courses” in America by Golfweek. The dramatic 7,127-yard par 71 layout features large undulating greens, five tees for varied skill levels and views of Pike National Forest, the Denver skyline and Dakota Hogback.

“The moment I saw this course I knew it was special, the setting is surreal,” said Spraul.  “I look forward to working with the staff, ownership and membership to make Ravenna the best private club in Colorado.”

The property announced late last year it will break ground on a new Tuscan-style clubhouse this spring.  The current facility includes a golf pro shop, member dining room, outdoor patio, bar area and wine room, with weekly member events that range from live-entertainment socials to gala events.

Set in Waterton Canyon on 634 acres, Ravenna offers homes carrying Old World craftsmanship with custom stone fireplaces, wine cellars, media rooms and expansive verandas starting at $1.2 million, as well as customizable lots starting in the $200,000s.

Various levels of membership are available to - but not required of - home owners.  In addition to an active schedule of events, members and their families enjoy unlimited access to the golf course and practice range.
