Titleist Leads the Way at the McGladrey Classic

The best players in the world are in beautiful Sea Island, Georgia for the McGladrey Classic. Held on the scenic Seaside Course at Sea Island Golf Club, the McGladrey Classic will surely provide fireworks as players will be looking to go low on the 7,055 yard, Par-70 layout.

Despite a history of low scores, players realize they will have to be on their game if they expect to be in contention on Sunday.

"This golf course is in as great a shape as I've ever seen it...They've made the golf course somehow a little bit better. It is normally very windy here, and if it is, it can play very difficult," said Titleist Brand Ambassador, and Sea Island resident, Zach Johnson.

Titleist Brand Ambassador Ben Martin is trying to maintain the momentum from his first career victory last week at the Shriners Hospitals for Children Open.

"I'm looking forward to trying to put all that behind me and go out to compete this week … just looking forward to getting back on the golf course."

With a strong field and fantastic setting, it should be an exciting weekend of golf in Sea Island.

BY THE NUMBERS: 2014 McGladrey Classic
Titleist is the overwhelming golf ball of choice with 86 players in the field trusting a Titleist Pro V1 or Pro V1x golf ball for their success. That’s more than five times the nearest competitor with 15 and more than all competitors combined.

Titleist was also the top choice among players in the irons (38) and sand, lob and approach wedge (138) and putter (48) categories.
