Billy Casper Golf Selected to Manage Heritage Shores Club in Bridgeville, Delaware

(VIENNA, VA) – Billy Casper Golf – the largest owner-operator of golf courses, country clubs and resorts in the U.S. – has been selected to manage Heritage Shores Club in Bridgeville, Delaware that ranks among the top 10 on Golf Digest’s 2015-16 “Best in State” list.

Managing all facets of the upscale daily-fee operation 30 miles south of Dover, the state capital, BCG will direct course and property maintenance, staffing and training, clubhouse activities, food and beverage, merchandising, marketing and public relations, special events and financial management.

“Billy Casper Golf’s level of expertise and attention to detail is unmatched in the industry,” says Dottie Harper, Vice President of Planned Community Management and Operations for Brookfield Residential.  “Its team of dedicated professionals has all the tools to enhance what is already one of Delaware’s top golf and social experiences.”

“Heritage Shores is a magnificent gathering place,” says Peter Hill, Chairman and CEO of BGC.  “Favored for its superb golf course conditions and magnificent clubhouse, we will inject new programming and events which will ‘wow’ guests.”

Heritage Shores is designed by Arthur Hills, one of America’s leading golf-course architects with more than 180 layouts, including PGA Tour event hosts, to his credit.  The 18-hole, 7,005-yard, par-72, classic, links-style layout presents a fun test for golfers of all skill levels with wide fairways, five sets of tees, strategic bunkering and water in play on nearly every hole.

On the short 350-yard, par-4 third hole, golfers choose between laying up or challenging bunkers and water to drive the green.  At 530 yards, the par-5 No. 18 caps off exciting rounds with bunkers guarding the right side and water down the left, protecting a uniquely shaped, square green.

Guests hone their games on a first-class practice facility with an expansive driving range, fairway bunkers and putting green.  Private and group lessons and clinics are available with PGA level golf instruction.

The sprawling 28,000 square-foot, Nantucket-style clubhouse is the perfect spot for pre- or post-round entertainment.  Passwater’s Restaurant is popular for traditional American and European cuisine – like Blue Crab Bisque and Grilled Chicken Milano – and splendid views overlooking the 18th green.  A fully-stocked pro shop features the latest in brand-name equipment and apparel.

Heritage Shores hosts weddings, corporate meetings and other functions.  The elegant banquet area accommodates up to 400 guests and the spacious lawn, outdoor patio and gazebo holds 250 guests.
