Golf Pride Helps Raise Over $144,000 for Local Hospice

(SOUTHERN PINES, N.C.) - Power management company Eaton announced today that its Golf Pride Grips Division, in partnership with sponsors and Scotch Meadows Country Club, continued its fundraising for the 29th Annual Hospice of Scotland County Golf Tournament. The charity event, which took place on April 14 and 15, drew support from Golf Pride’s partners across the golf industry.

This year, Golf Pride hosted an online auction leading up to the event, that featured tour-only grips, heritage grips and custom-made Golf Pride apparel and accessories.  The onsite auction included several dozen prizes from the golf industry’s top equipment manufacturers and collegiate goods from more than 100 schools that trust their teams’ performance to Golf Pride.

Through Golf Pride’s support, the annual charity tournament netted $144,493, bringing the cumulative total to nearly $3.5 million raised over the 29-year history of the event.

“Scotland County was our original home in North Carolina and is still home to many of our employees even now that we have moved to the Pinehurst area.  We are proud to continue support of this special event because Hospice provides quality care to local families at a critical time.” said  James Ledford, President of Eaton’s Golf Pride Division. “ As the lead sponsor, we try to add some fun elements to the event, but it is really the local community and our partners from across the golf industry who help us make this event so successful.”

Eaton’s Golf Pride Division is the world’s largest manufacturer of golf grips, with manufacturing, sales and distribution facilities on six continents.  The division’s Golf Pride brand is recognized globally as the number one choice in grips among tour and recreational players, competitive amateur golfers, club manufacturers and club repairmen.  For more information, visit www.golfpride.com or visit Facebook at http://www.facebook.com/GolfPride.
